Hoyop Hoyopan Cave, Albay Philippines

Hoyop-Hoyopan means blowing of air. For me all caves are almost alike but it usually varies on what your imagination can form out of its rock formations.

What differs this cave from the others I've been to is some shallow water pools inside that looks really clean you can dive in it and take a bath. Kuya said, you can dive in if you can but I did not intend to. With it's vast stalagmites and stalactites, the cave is a dark place so I can imagine what creatures might come crawling on my feet.

The location is just about 40 minutes away from home. We got a local guide on our way in and out of the cave. Another thing that makes this cave unique is its big space where the guide said they usually hold Barangay meetings and even a dance inside this cave. There's an elevated round shape of concrete built in that part where I guess locals shakes their booty. Just the right spot I must say.
