Batik Making - Bali, Indonesia

DSC_9920

This is going to be quick but I promise more photos. I didn't realize I still have one Bali entry until I saw this folder I labeled Batik. Batik is a form of art.

As per wiki, Indonesian: [ˈbatɪk]) is a technique of manual wax-resist dyeing applied to whole cloth, or cloth made using this technique.

This was the first attraction we went to before we even started our Day 2. It was a quick tour. Local pride. There were group of people working on batik fabric paintings outside the establishment that looks like a mansion. Inside is where the finished products are sold.

This was another free top-up ride, we didn't expect to buy anything from the store although I saw one lovely shawl. The prices are understandably high because all the things you will see there are handcrafted. Authentic Balinese style!
