Haven and A Retreat

If we have known this place, we would've checked ourselves in.

We found ourselves prying as we were passing the street of Victoria, the spacious lobby and the center piece kitchen table with bicycles on its opposite side. Roomy is the word, with gigantic space and minimalistic approach in design. The place is well ventilated having high ceilings. I don't know anything about interior designing but I only describe what we saw.

No one was there at first so we just let ourselves in. I got an impression that it was new when a man came out from a door that looks like who just finished some work inside wearing a torn out shirt with splatter of paints.

They call it Sekeping (meaning"a piece of") family of retreats in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Georgetown, Penang. More like a hotel/retreat house so it must've best advised to a group of people. They also have several branches Malaysia. You should check out their website. The designers have done a pretty good job. It has a minimalistic and modern concept kind of environment if you're looking for something specific.
